Generation Chile seeks to recruit a Business Development and Partnerships Lead who embodies our values and is passionate about creating impact in Chile’s education to employment ecosystem.

As the Business Development and Partnership Lead in Generation Chile, you will be responsible for engaging new employers to become part of the Generation Employers’ Network, for maintaining relationship with existing employers, and for transitioning the students to full-time employment. The Business Development and Partnerships Lead will build relationships with a wide variety of employers, industry associations, academic institutions, and government agencies and secure partnerships with employers to commit to recruiting Generation graduates to fill their vacancies. In addition, the Lead will secure funding from governments, employers, and funders to expand our impact.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

You will work in a dynamic and flexible environment being your main responsibilities the following:

 A. Develop New Employer and Partner Relationships (50%)

·        Work with Generation team to identify prospects and potential new employers.

·        Develop new relationships with employer organizations and advise them on how to best to engage with Generation.

·        Proactively reach out to employers to strengthen engagement and utilization.

·        Create and maintain a strong network of connections in the employer community to leverage our services.

·        Keep updated on current trends and happenings with the employers’ sectors and communities to better understand our clients’ needs.

·        Develop, support and initiate new and existing processes related to the BD portfolio.

·        Other responsibilities will include market intelligence gathering, opportunity tracking and follow-up, and presentations to prospective employers.

·        Negotiate on placement pricing with employers as needed.

 B. Maintain Existing Employer and Partner Relationships (25%)

·        Regularly engage stakeholders to maintain interest, relevance and buy in. Cultivate relationships with new employers & manage “on-boarding” of new employer partners.

·        Facilitate the sharing of newsletters and success stories to already engaged employers to ensure they remain motivated about the Generation.

·        Facilitate routine one-on-one and group meetings to get feedback on Generation graduates and the Generation engagement process.

·        Ensure that Generation acknowledges its employer partners whenever relevant and shares their brand.

C. Fundraising (10%)

·        Build relationships with new funders, and draft proposals for future funding based on the partnerships that you are building.

·        You also are deeply involved in securing full funding to launch those programs.

 D. Additional Responsibilities (15%)

·        Follow student’s transition to full time employment including collaborating with employer partners to establish & execute employment education, application submission and interviewing events.

·        Follow up with our students to collect date, ensure efficient functioning of the ROI mechanisms and conduct analysis of relevant ROI data as per agreed guidelines.

Perfil buscado

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU'LL NEED:

 ·        Fluent Spanish, advanced written and spoken English.

·        Recommended minimum 4+ years of working experience. Strong candidates will have 7-10 years experience.

·        Significant experience in partnerships and business development, with strong industry networks and a track record of success in leading high-profile conversations and writing/delivering proposals.

·        We are especially excited to see candidates with:

Experience in a non-profit or social enterprise.

An established network in the IT sector, software development, with systems integrators, or in large corporations with in-house software development teams (banks or e-commerce, for instance).

Experience using Salesforce to manage external relationships.

·        Positive, solutions orientated attitude, drive for excellence and ability to be a team player.

·        Entrepreneurial, proactive mindset required of start-ups that takes ownership for targets and seeks opportunities for improvement / growth of the program without guidance.

The Business Development and Partnerships Lead will report to the Generation Chile COO and work closely with the Chilean and Global Generation teams to ensure coordination of pipeline of students being trained and placed. The position will be based in Santiago City. Compensation and benefits package competitive with NGO industry standards.
